Privacy Policy

General

This privacy policy governs your use the application Messages Augmented Reality for mobile devices. This application also includes an iMessage extension and is used to send Augmented Reality messages that include text, emoticons and symbols which can be customised.

Information does the application obtain and how is the information used?

When contacting us from Messages Augmented Reality information of your mobile device is collected such as device type and version as well as the software version. This helps us to assist you if you have any questions.

When you read an Augmented Reality Message the sender may receive a notification when the message is read if notifications are turned on and the message count for that particular message will increase. No information about the reader of the message is stored or shared.

Camera Access

Messages Augmented Reality requires camera access to work. Camera access is required for augmented reality. You can turn on or off camera access by going to the Settings App then Messages AR. You can then access the camera settings. Please note if you turn off camera access you can not used Messages Augmented Reality.

Real time location information

Messages Augmented Reality does not use or collect your location. 

Deleting a message  

After creating and sending a message link you can delete a message if you no longer want anyone to read it. Once the message is deleted it will not be accessible to anyone even if they have the message link. Messages Links

All message links are HTTPS and secure. Message links are used to access your message. The back part of your message link can be customised. When customising the back part make sure its not something easy to guess if you don’t want others to view your message. Short back parts to are great to use if you want your message to be easily accessible. If you change the message link for a particular message anyone with your old message link will not be able to view the message.

CloudKit and iCloud

Messages Augmented Reality uses CloudKit to store and share your messages. You can at anytime delete your messages if you no longer want anyone to be able to read it. You can also turn off iCloud for Messages Augmented Reality in the Settings App on your device. Please note if you turn off iCloud you can not send messages.

Security

All message links are HTTPS and the back part to the link is over 20 characters long making it extremely difficult for others to access your message if you do not share your message link with them. None of your personal information is obtained or stored without you knowing.
